The Lost & Found Transitional Ministry
is a non-profit ministry which is guided by a Board of Directors and is a limited liability company (LLC) of Church of the Cross. The Lost & Found Board oversees two ministries--Garfield House and HavenHope. Several Church of the Cross members are serving on the board of directors and in other capacities. Church of the Cross also supports these ministries financially.
Garfield House began in 1984 as a ministry outreach to homeless ex-offenders. Its focus today is to help ex-offenders transition from prison life to independence, re-entering society as respected and valued citizens. The house, located on Garfield Street in Dayton, serves as a stable and structured environment for these men.
HavenHope is a home for women who are victims of sex trafficking and substance abuse. It is a comprehensive lifestyle program including housing, healthcare, counseling, and spiritual guidance for women marginalized by human trafficking.
